Privacy policy

Who we are
Orama Studios Limited ("Orama Studios", "we") is a video editing company in Jos, Nigeria. This policy covers this website, oramastudios.net, and the Orama Studios app, a production tool we run on our own computer to plan and improve YouTube videos.
Questions about this policy or your data: oramastudiosng@gmail.com.
This website
- We don't use cookies, analytics or tracking, and the site has no forms.
- The company that hosts the site may keep standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to run and protect the service.
- "Book a call" opens Calendly, and our work links open YouTube and YT Jobs. Those sites have their own privacy policies.
The Orama Studios app and YouTube data
The Orama Studios app uses YouTube API Services. By connecting a YouTube channel to it, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of your data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
The app is used only by Orama Studios, for channels we run or work on with the owner's permission. It is not offered to the public.
What the app reads
- Public YouTube data, read with an API key and no sign-in: search results, and the titles, descriptions, tags, view and subscriber counts, upload dates, lengths and comments of public videos and channels.
- With a channel owner's Google sign-in: that channel's YouTube Analytics (such as watch time, views, subscribers gained and lost, and traffic sources).
- With that sign-in, only when we choose to apply a change: updates to that channel's own video titles, descriptions and tags.
We never see or store Google passwords. Sign-in happens on Google's own page.
How we use it
Only to research keywords and topics, plan videos, and improve the details of the channel's own videos. We don't sell this data, use it for advertising, or combine it with data from other sources to profile people.
Where it is kept and for how long
- All data stays on Orama Studios' own computer, in a local database. It is not uploaded to any server of ours.
- Google sign-ins are kept encrypted in Windows Credential Manager, never in the database.
- Saved YouTube data is refreshed or deleted within 30 days.
- A backup of the database is made once a day on the same computer, and each backup is kept for 14 days.
Who it is shared with
Some features use Claude, an AI service from Anthropic, to draft text such as a channel profile or video ideas. For those features, the YouTube data the task needs (for example a channel's public video titles and descriptions) is sent to Anthropic to produce the draft. Sign-ins are never sent. See Anthropic's privacy policy.
We don't share YouTube data with anyone else, unless the law requires it.
Orama Studios' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Removing access and deleting data
- A channel owner can remove the app's access at any time in their Google Account, on the third-party access page.
- Email oramastudiosng@gmail.com to ask what we hold about your channel, or to have it deleted. We delete stored data for that channel within 30 days of the request.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
